AEDM Day 13 Pumpkin Man is done! (well, almost)

My Pumpkin man is back from his second trip to the kiln. He was all ready to come home BUT the pumpkin that he is supposed to holding in his hands fell and broke before it went into the kiln so I had to make another one. At any rate, I am happy with him. Can you spot a mistake I made? I glazed his jacket with a shiny finish by mistake so he's half rustic and half …not! ha ha. My husband says it gives him character and I sort of agree. I have to keep reminding myself that I am a beginner and these pieces are not going into a museum! =) 100_0210   I also brought my Scottie dog home. I think he came out good and I am just happy that his tail survived the kiln! 100_0216 The real fur babies were so curious about the pieces when I took them out of the box. And then they joined me in the office for a little bonding time. You'd think I'd been gone for a week instead of a few hours! Gotta' love 'em! 100_0219

Those Scotties are all wonderful. All three!

I think the jacket on your pumpkin man is great. It reminds me of those winter parkas that are so colorful. I agree this gives him character, and it sets the jacket apart from the slacks.
