AEDM Day 6 Glazed and ready for kiln

Well, last night at the clay studio I took a picture of my sculptures waiting for the 2nd firing. This is how they look with the glazes I put on them though when they come out of the kiln, the colors will be a bit different than they look here. Sorry the scottie photo came out blurred but you can get the general idea anyway. I am especially hoping that the Scottie nose comes out shiny black although the glaze looks gray and that the tongue comes out the intended pink! Time will tell….100_0137   100_0138 I couldn't find any good glaze colors for skin tones so my pumpkin guy looks a little anemic. It will be interesting to see how the color develops during firing.

It’s fun to watch as these pieces progress from start to finish. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a detailed process before. It has been fun watching. Now let’s hope the final glazing is what you hoped for. Fingers crossed.
