AEDM Day 3 First firing

This is what my Pumpkin Man Tableau looked like after the first firing in the kiln. I have since glazed (painted) it and I'm hopeful that when I get to the clay studio tonight that it will have gone through the second firing and be ready to bring home! I used mostly under glazes which are matte (not glossy) colors to give it a rustic look. The inside of the jack-o-lantern I did in a shiny glaze though so it would have a glow to it. I hope that worked! Mostly I hope that the whole thing came out of the kiln unscathed because there is always a high risk in cracking or breaking…. 100_0188
